Role & responsibilities

- Take overall responsibility for the performance and quality control of all MEP trades.
- Oversee and direct MEP subcontractors from the time of contract award to the projects completion.
- Manage and carry out the MEP coordination procedure to address any disputes before the installation process begins. may entail using Revit, and AutoCAD.
- Take part in the change order and cost review procedures in relation to the MEP trades. Helps the project manager estimate change orders as needed.
- Check that all MEP subcontractor pay requests are accurate and submitted on time.
- Offer the project team schedule recommendations for the MEP trades.
- Work with the project manager and field staff to coordinate onsite MEP activities, material procurement, and other relevant tasks.




- Update others on developments and compile relevant reports upon request.
- Investigate and help fix problems with field installation.
- Participate in weekly meetings with subcontractors. If more meetings with the MEP subcontractors are required, chair them.
- Oversees the MEP trades equipment installation of owner-provided equipment.
- Keeps an eye on the MEP systems installation, startup, and commissioning.
- Oversee and direct the owner training program.
- Oversee the MEP trades close-out procedure.
- Keep up positive working connections with owners, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors.
