Role - Printing Technician

Location - Guinea

About the role

Responsible for operating and maintaining 4-6 colour Flexographic/CI printing machines for HDPE/LLDPE packaging, ensuring high-quality printing, accurate colour matching, and productive production. The role includes ink preparation, plate mounting, machine setup, troubleshooting, quality inspection, and adherence to production schedules while maintaining equipment and workplace standards. Candidates should have a Diploma/Degree in Printing Technology, experience with European or equivalent printing machines, and be willing to relocate to Conakry, Guinea.

Responsibilities

- Person should have knowledge about Flexo / CI printing m/c from 4-6 colours printing on hdpe/lldpe plastic material.
- Knowledge about selection of ink, mixing ratio of ink and solvent.
- The operator has to read job orders that specify the types of ink, plate and material that should be used for the printing
- Mix solvent and inks to blend with materials being printed and job order specification
- Evaluate job orders and specification to know details like number of materials to be printed, time given for collection, and color sequences
- Starts press, adjusting speed, tension, and alignment of printing plate as necessary.
- Check printed materials for clarity, accuracy, quality,



finishing and other production factors
- Knowledge about fixing plate and change sleeve and adjust registration.
- Person should have knowledge about selection of anilox roller as per job order.
- Knowledge about slitting/winder operation.
- Minimize period by troubleshooting stoppages and breakdowns.
- Operate machine to give printing directions in accordance to job order and specification
- Ensure that color heads, rollers and ink fountains are clean from ink.
- Person should have knowledge of shade matching Plate mounting.
- Work with team members, shift supervisors and all necessary personnel to take care of complications as they arise

Qualifications

- Diploma/Degree in Printing technology from well-known institute.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Willingness to relocate/work in Conakry, Guinea
- Should be capable to handle 4-6 color stack type flexographic printing machine and KYMC
- Make 4-6 color CI printing machine or equivalent European machinery like boost Comexi, Uteco and Carraro printing machine.
