Team Overview
The Load Balancing Infrastructure Operations Level 3 (LBops L3) team is part of the Enterprise Computing Organization.
The global team focuses on core infrastructure supporting Application Delivery across Morgan Stanley. This includes support for a multi-vendor Load Balancer setting that provides services to internal and external clients.
Key Responsibilities
You will work within a global "follow-the-sun" operations model responsible for the technologies in respective regions.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
• Supporting a high number of devices and application flows in an enterprise setting, delivering cloud-like experiences for development settings.
• Using advanced network tools to troubleshoot:
• Network connectivity issues
• Fault analysis
• Failure avoidance
• Diagnosis and resolution of functionality-impacting issues in distributed systems environments
• Working with an in-house application management system designed to simplify deployment and management of application delivery components.
• Managing services over the network through a GUI-based console.
• Addressing L2 escalations.
• Process improvement, automation, and scripting.
• Writing technical documentation.
• Collaborating with global SMEs using tools such as:
• Jive
• Twiki
• SharePoint
