Expertise in working with strong acids (such as Aqua Regia—a mix of hydrochloric and nitric acids, or nitric acid alone) to dissolve base metals and precipitate high-purity gold.
Ability to operate high-temperature furnaces, crucibles, for melting scrap gold, granulating metal, and casting gold bars or ingots.
Ability to stand and work for extended periods in hot, noisy industrial settings near melting furnaces.
Positive eye-hand coordination for handling molten metal crucibles, pouring heavy ingots, operating valves, and loading scrap.
Keen visual awareness to detect fume changes (e.g., watching for distinct color shifts during chemical reactions or furnace heating).
Strict adherence to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, chemical spill containment, acid fume ventilation, and toxic gas safety.
Uncompromising honesty and adherence to security protocols given the extreme monetary value of the materials being processed.
