Doon Valley Institute of Pharmacy & Medicines, Karnal, invites applications from qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Assistant Professor / Associate Professor in the Pharmacy Department.

Position

Assistant Professor / Associate Professor – Pharmacy

Qualification
M.Pharm / Pharm.D / equivalent qualification as per applicable PCI / UGC / University norms.
Candidates having relevant specialization in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical Analysis or other Pharmacy disciplines may apply.
Candidates must fulfill the qualification and experience requirements applicable to the post.

Experience
Relevant teaching/academic experience in a Pharmacy College / Institution will be preferred.
Experience as per applicable PCI norms for Assistant Professor / Associate Professor will be considered.
Freshers meeting the prescribed qualification may also be considered for suitable positions.

Job Responsibilities
Teaching and conducting practical classes for B.Pharm / D.Pharm students.
Preparation of lesson plans, teaching material and academic records.




Conducting laboratory practicals and maintaining laboratory records.
Guiding students in academic and project-related activities.
Conducting internal assessments, examinations and evaluation work.
Maintaining course files and other documentation as required.
Participating in seminars, workshops and other academic activities.
Supporting the department in maintaining compliance with PCI / University / regulatory requirements.
Performing other academic duties assigned by the Principal / Management.

Skills Required
Good communication and teaching skills.
Strong subject knowledge in Pharmacy.
Ability to handle both theory and practical classes.
Valuable documentation and academic record-keeping skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of an academic team.

Salary: As per qualification, experience and institute norms.
