Job Responsibilities
Prepare 2D and 3D drawings for sheet metal components, assemblies, panels, and enclosures.
Develop designs as per customer drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
Prepare fabrication drawings, part drawings, BOMs, and cutting/bending details.
Design components suitable for CNC laser cutting and CNC press brake bending.
Select appropriate materials, sheet thicknesses, hardware, and manufacturing processes.
Coordinate with production, fabrication, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability.
Review customer drawings and identify design or technical issues before production.
Make design modifications based on production requirements and customer feedback.
Maintain drawing revisions, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
Support production with technical clarification and resolve fabrication-related design issues.
Ensure designs meet required dimensions, tolerances, quality standards, and cost targets.

Required Skills
Valuable knowledge of sheet metal design and fabrication processes.




Experience with AutoCAD / SolidWorks / Creo / Inventor or similar CAD software.
Knowledge of laser cutting, bending, welding, fabrication, and powder coating.
Understanding of sheet metal bend allowance, bend deduction, K-factor, tolerances, and GD&T.;
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Valuable problem-solving and communication skills.
Knowledge of MS Office and basic engineering documentation.

Qualification
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.

Preferred Experience

Experience in sheet metal fabrication, electrical panels, machine enclosures, industrial cabinets, or precision fabrication will be preferred.
