You will maintain our books, handle bank work, process invoices, bills, reimbursements and salaries, and coordinate with our Chartered Accountant so that all statutory filings are done accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain day-to-day books of accounts, including recording all receipts, payments, journal entries and ledgers.
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and follow up on unmatched or pending entries.
Prepare and issue sales invoices with correct GST treatment, and track receivables and payment follow-ups.
Record and verify purchase bills, check them against approvals and supporting documents, and manage vendor payments.
Maintain the employee reimbursement sheet by verifying bills, getting approvals and processing payments on time.
Prepare the monthly salary sheet using attendance and leave records, including deductions, and process salary payments.
Handle routine banking work such as payments, transfers, deposits, statements and bank correspondence.
Coordinate with our CA on GST returns, TDS returns and payments, income tax filings and other statutory compliances, and share the required data and documents on time.
Track compliance due dates and make sure there are no delays or penalties.
Maintain proper filing of vouchers, invoices, bills and financial records,
both physical and digital.
Prepare basic MIS reports, such as monthly expenses, cash flow position and outstanding payables and receivables, for management.
Help during audits by providing schedules, reconciliations and supporting documents.
Support petty cash management and other finance and admin tasks as needed.
Requirements
B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification in accounting or finance.
1–3 years of hands-on experience in accounts, preferably in a startup, CA firm or small company.
Working knowledge of Tally Prime (or Zoho Books) and MS Excel, including VLOOKUP, SUMIF and pivot tables.
Basic understanding of GST, TDS and payroll deductions (PF, ESI, PT).
Comfortable with net banking and day-to-day bank operations.
Accurate, organised, and able to keep financial information confidential.
Valuable communication skills to coordinate with the CA, vendors, banks and the internal team.
Positive to Have
Experience working directly with a CA firm on return filings.
Exposure to startup finance, grants or investor reporting
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
