We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Lab Technician to perform laboratory tests, handle samples, maintain laboratory equipment, and ensure accurate and timely reporting of results.
Key Responsibilities
Collect, receive, label, and process laboratory samples according to standard procedures.
Perform routine laboratory tests and examinations accurately.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
Prepare reagents, solutions, and other laboratory materials as required.
Record test results and maintain accurate laboratory documentation.
Follow laboratory SOPs, safety guidelines, and quality control procedures.
Ensure proper storage and disposal of samples and laboratory waste.
Perform routine equipment calibration and quality checks.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the laboratory.
Report any abnormal results, equipment issues, or quality concerns to the supervisor.
Maintain confidentiality of patient and laboratory information.
Qualifications
Diploma / B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT / B.Sc. MLT) or equivalent qualification.
Relevant laboratory experience is preferred.
Valuable knowledge of laboratory procedures, sample handling, and safety practices.
Basic computer knowledge and good documentation skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
