About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to manage bookkeeping and accounting activities for our gym and restaurant clients. The ideal candidate should have solid accounting knowledge, hands-on experience with accounting software, and the ability to manage day-to-day accounting operations independently.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting records for gym and restaurant businesses.
Record sales, purchases, expenses, bank transactions, and journal entries.
Perform bank, vendor, and customer reconciliations.
Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
Manage and maintain accounting records using Tally and Zoho Books.
Prepare monthly financial reports, including Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets.
Assist in GST-related accounting and reconciliations.
Coordinate with clients for accounting information and supporting documents.
Use MS Excel for accounting, data analysis, and reporting.
Draft professional emails and communicate effectively with clients.
Explore and use basic AI tools to improve accounting efficiency and automate routine tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and bookkeeping.
Strong working knowledge of Tally, Zoho Books, and MS Excel.
Valuable understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Basic knowledge of AI tools and their practical applications in accounting.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to draft professional emails and handle client communication.
Solid attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in bookkeeping or accounting for gyms and fitness centres.
Experience in restaurant accounting, including sales reconciliation and expense management.
Familiarity with POS systems and their accounting integrations.
