Role description

Required Skills & Experience

- 20+ years in data leadership roles — Chief Data Officer, VP Data, or equivalent

- Proven experience building data strategy in regulated financial services from low-maturity baselines

- Deep knowledge of up-to-date data architectures — medallion/Bronze-Silver-Gold, data mesh, lakehouse

- Experience with SQL Server estates, Redshift, and event streaming platforms (Confluent, Kafka, RedPanda)

- Strong track record establishing data governance and data quality frameworks from zero

- Experience with data monetisation strategy in transaction-rich environments

- Excellent executive presence — able to influence at C-suite and board level

- Experience leading distributed, cross-geography data teams through platform transitions
