- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Spare Parts Department.
- Maintain proper stock of all spare parts and ensure availability as per workshop requirements.
- Handle spare parts receiving, issuing, invoicing and stock updating.
- Maintain accurate stock records, bin locations and inventory documentation.
- Coordinate with the Service Manager, Service Advisors, Technicians and Workshop Team for spare parts requirements.
- Ensure timely issue of parts to technicians against proper job cards.
- Monitor fast-moving, slow-moving and non-moving parts and maintain optimum stock levels.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconciliation.
- Identify shortages, excess stock, damaged parts and discrepancies and report them to management.
- Prepare and follow up spare parts orders and pending requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers and the company/Head Office for parts procurement and availability.
- Ensure proper handling, storage and identification of spare parts.
- Monitor parts sales, stock value and department performance.
- Ensure old/unused parts and warranty-related parts are handled according to company procedures.
- Maintain proper documentation for purchase, sales,
returns, warranty and stock transfers.
- Support the workshop in achieving service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure discipline, cleanliness and systematic arrangement of the Spare Parts Department.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly stock and performance reports for management.
- Follow company policies, procedures and inventory control standards.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualification in Commerce, Automobile, Logistics or related field preferred.
- Experience in automobile spare parts/inventory management preferred.
- Knowledge of Tally/ERP or automotive dealership software will be an advantage.
- Positive knowledge of spare parts identification and inventory management.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Strong attention to detail and stock accuracy.
- Leadership and team-management skills.
- Responsible, disciplined and target-oriented approach.
Automobile dealership/workshop experience will be an added advantage.
- Suitable for: Candidates with experience in automobile spare parts, inventory or workshop operations who can independently manage the Spare Parts Department.
