Technical Regional Manager - Electrical Systems & InfrastructurePosition OverviewRegional technical leadership role overseeing electrical infrastructure operations across multiple sites, with specialized focus on high-tension (HT) and low-tension (LT) systems, telecommunications infrastructure, and regional technical operations management.
Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical Systems Management Oversee and manage high-tension (HT) and low-tension (LT) electrical systems across regional facilities. Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, perform system optimization, and coordinate preventive maintenance programs. Provide technical expertise for electrical infrastructure upgrades and modifications.
Mobile Switching Centre Operations Leverage 3-4 years of specialized experience managing mobile switching centre (MSC) infrastructure. Oversee technical operations, system reliability, and performance optimization of telecommunications switching equipment. Coordinate with network operations teams to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
Regional Travel & Site Management Travel extensively across the country to manage multiple sites and facilities within the regional portfolio. Conduct regular site visits for technical assessments, problem resolution, and staff support. Provide hands-on technical leadership during critical system installations or emergency situations.
Technical Audit Management Plan, coordinate, and execute comprehensive technical audits across all regional facilities. Develop audit protocols,
identify compliance gaps, assess system performance, and create detailed audit reports with actionable recommendations. Track corrective action implementation and verify closure of audit findings.
Vendor Management Manage relationships with technical vendors and service providers across the region. Evaluate vendor performance, negotiate service level agreements, coordinate maintenance contracts, and ensure quality delivery of vendor services. Lead vendor selection processes for new equipment and services.
Technical Staff Leadership Supervise, mentor, and develop regional technical teams including engineers, technicians, and specialists. Conduct performance evaluations, provide technical training, manage workforce planning, and foster a culture of technical excellence and safety. Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between sites.
Required QualificationsEducation & Certifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunications, or related technical discipline. Professional certifications in electrical systems, HT/LT operations, or telecommunications preferred.
Technical Experience Minimum 3-4 years hands-on experience managing mobile switching centre operations and telecommunications infrastructure. Strong working knowledge of HT and LT electrical systems, power distribution, and backup power solutions. Demonstrated technical problem-solving capabilities.
Management Experience Proven track record managing technical teams, conducting audits, and overseeing vendor relationships. Experience coordinating multi-site operations and leading regional technical initiatives.
Travel Requirement Must be willing and able to travel extensively across the country (up to 60-70% travel).
Valid driver's license and flexibility for occasional short-notice travel required.
Preferred SkillsProject management experience with electrical or telecommunications infrastructure
Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements for electrical and telecom systems
Budget management and cost optimization experience
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
Experience with CMMS or technical asset management systems
