Job Summary

LTM is looking for an experienced Senior Specialist – Software Engineering with strong expertise in Java-based software development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Core Java, database technologies, web application development, REST APIs, version control, build automation, and enterprise-level IBM technologies.

The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust software solutions, troubleshooting complex technical issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to technical initiatives and team development.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain Java-based enterprise applications.
- Apply strong knowledge of Core Java, OOP concepts, exception handling, inheritance, polymorphism, and encapsulation.
- Develop and integrate web applications using Java technologies such as Servlets, JSP, and JPA.
- Work with relational databases using SQL and JDBC.
- Develop and consume RESTful web services/APIs using technologies such as Spring Boot, JAX-RS, or Jersey.
- Work with IBM enterprise technologies including WebSphere MQ (WMQ), WebSphere Server, and IBM DB2.
- Use Git for source-code management, branching, merging, and collaborative development.
- Utilize Maven for build automation and dependency management.
- Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests.
- Participate in CI/CD processes and automated build, testing, and deployment activities.
- Collaborate with developers, testers, designers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor team members and take ownership of technical/team-level activities.

- IBM WebSphere MQ (WMQ)
- IBM WebSphere Server
- IBM DB2
- RESTful Web Services
- Spring Boot / JAX-RS / Jersey

The ideal candidate should:

- Have 7–11 years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Possess strong hands-on expertise in Java and enterprise application development.
- Have experience working with SQL/JDBC and relational databases.
- Understand REST APIs and web technologies.
- Have exposure to IBM WebSphere, WMQ, and DB2.
- Be comfortable working in an Agile, collaborative workplace.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, debugging, leadership, and communication skills.
- Be willing to work on-site in Bangalore.
