Retouching QC Lead

About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced Retouching QC Lead who has a strong eye for detail, advanced knowledge of professional image retouching, and the ability to manage quality across a team of retouchers.

This role goes beyond simply identifying mistakes. You will be responsible for ensuring that every image meets our quality standards before delivery, working closely with the retouching team and senior management, and stepping in to correct or rework images yourself whenever required.

The ideal candidate should be someone who understands both the creative and technical side of retouching, can identify even subtle inconsistencies, and knows exactly how to fix them.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform detailed quality checks on retouched fashion and e-commerce images.
- Review work for skin retouching, texture, colour, tones, lighting, masking, edges, proportions, garment details and overall image consistency.
- Ensure images meet the required creative and technical standards before final delivery.
- Identify recurring quality issues and communicate clear, actionable feedback to retouchers.
- Coordinate with and manage the quality workflow of a team of approximately 10-15 retouchers.
- Track pending corrections, reworks and quality issues to ensure timely completion.
- Work closely with senior team members and management to maintain consistent quality standards.
- Personally rework or correct images when required, especially in cases where a retoucher is unable to resolve an issue to the required standard.
- Help the team improve their retouching quality through feedback,



guidance and technical support.
- Ensure that final images are delivered within the required timelines.
- Stay updated with evolving retouching techniques, AI-assisted workflows and new tools that can improve quality and efficiency.
- Use AI tools intelligently as part of the retouching and quality-control workflow without compromising the final image quality.

Required Skills & Experience

- 3–5+ years of professional experience in photo retouching / image post-production.
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop is essential.
- Valuable working knowledge of Adobe Lightroom.
- Strong understanding of professional fashion and e-commerce image retouching.
- Excellent knowledge of high-end skin retouching and maintaining natural skin texture.
- Strong understanding of colour correction, tonal balance, masking, compositing and image cleanup.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a highly trained visual eye.
- Ability to identify both obvious and subtle retouching inconsistencies.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot and fix complex retouching issues.
- Previous experience handling or coordinating a team is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and feedback skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality output.
- Comfortable working in a remote, fast-paced production environment.

AI & Technology





We are looking for someone who is comfortable incorporating AI into their workflow and understands how to use it as an assisting tool rather than a replacement for professional retouching judgement.

Experience with tools such as:

- Photoshop AI / Generative tools
- ChatGPT
- Gemini
- Claude
- Other AI-assisted image editing or productivity tools

is an advantage.

Additional Requirements

- You should have your own laptop or desktop suitable for professional photo retouching.

Probation & Increment

- The first 6 months will be a probation period.
- Your performance will be reviewed during this period.
- After successfully completing 6 months, your performance will be evaluated and a salary increment will be considered based on your performance and work quality.
- You should have a good and stable internet connection as this is a work-from-home role.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹33,000.00 per month
