Student Counsellor – Experienced

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Student Counsellor to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for counselling students and parents regarding overseas education opportunities, understanding their academic and career goals, recommending suitable courses and universities, and converting enquiries into successful applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel students and parents regarding study-abroad opportunities.
- Understand students’ academic background, career goals, budget, and preferences.
- Recommend suitable countries, universities, courses, and intakes.
- Handle student enquiries through walk-ins, phone calls, WhatsApp, and other channels.
- Follow up with leads and convert enquiries into applications and admissions.
- Explain admission requirements, tuition fees, scholarships, financial options, and visa processes.
- Coordinate with university representatives and internal application/visa teams.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions, applications, and follow-ups.
- Achieve assigned monthly counselling and admission targets.
- Stay updated on changes in university admissions, intakes, scholarships, and visa requirements.




- Build strong relationships with students and parents throughout the admission process.
- Participate in education fairs, seminars, school/college visits, and promotional activities when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Minimum 2 years of experience in student counselling or overseas education.
- Strong knowledge of study-abroad destinations and admission processes.
- Excellent communication, counselling, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Robust English communication skills; Malayalam proficiency is an advantage.
- Ability to handle multiple students and follow-ups efficiently.
- Target-oriented with a strong focus on conversions.
- Good knowledge of CRM systems, MS Office, and WhatsApp communication.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in counselling for UK, Germany, Canada, Australia, Europe, or other international study destinations will be preferred.
