About the Role:

Are you an SAP ABAP specialist who enjoys solving hard technical problems and building solutions that businesses rely on every day. We are looking for a Senior SAP ABAP Developer / ABAP Technical Lead to design, build and deliver high-performing custom SAP solutions across complex enterprise landscapes.

In this role, you'll take full ownership of technical delivery, from turning business requirements into solid technical designs to shipping clean, optimized, production-ready code. You'll work with modern SAP technologies such as ABAP on HANA, CDS Views, AMDP, OData and RAP, and partner closely with functional consultants and global client teams. As a technical lead, you'll also set quality standards, review code and mentor the next generation of ABAP developers.

Key ResponsibilitiesSolution Design & Development:

· Own the end-to-end design, development and delivery of custom SAP solutions across all RICEFW objects: Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms and Workflows.

- Turn functional specifications into robust technical designs, and prepare clear technical documentation and specs.
- Build scalable, reusable components using Object-Oriented ABAP (OO-ABAP) and SAP-recommended design patterns.

Modern SAP Development (ABAP on HANA & Fiori)

· Design and implement CDS Views, AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures) and SQL Script to push computation down to the database layer.

- Build and expose OData services (SEGW and/or RAP) for SAP Fiori/UI5 applications.
- Apply the code-to-data paradigm to build high-performance applications on SAP HANA.

Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting

· Carry out code optimization and performance tuning using tools such as ST05 (SQL Trace), SAT/SE30 (Runtime Analysis), ST12 and the Code Inspector/ATC.

- Lead technical debugging and root-cause analysis of complex production issues in multi-module SAP environments.




- Make sure solutions meet performance, security and scalability standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

· Work closely with functional consultants (SD, MM, FI/CO, PP) to understand business processes and deliver technical solutions that fit them.

- Communicate with onshore/offshore client stakeholders, project managers and cross-functional leads across the project lifecycle, from requirement workshops through UAT and go-live.
- Provide effort estimates, technical feasibility assessments and solution recommendations.

Technical Leadership & Mentoring

· Run code reviews and quality assurance to enforce SAP development standards, naming conventions and clean coding practices.

- Mentor and guide junior developers on SAP best practices, modern ABAP syntax and development methodology.
- Help build reusable frameworks, development guidelines and knowledge repositories for the team.

Required Technical Skills & Qualifications:

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in core SAP ABAP development.
- Strong proficiency in:
- OO-ABAP and contemporary ABAP syntax (7.4/7.5+)
- ALV Reports (Classic and OO ALV / SALV)
- BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, Enhancement Framework (implicit/explicit enhancements)
- IDocs (ALE/EDI configuration, custom IDoc development and processing)
- SmartForms and Adobe Forms
- Web Dynpro ABAP
- SAP Business Workflow
- Proven hands-on experience in ABAP on HANA development: CDS Views, AMDP and SQL Scripting.
- Experience building OData services (SEGW or RAP/CAP-based models) for Fiori/UI5 consumption.
- Solid understanding of SAP module integration across FI/CO, MM, SD and PP.
- Hands-on experience with performance analysis and debugging tools.
- Familiarity with the SAP Transport Management System (TMS) and SDLC/Agile delivery practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience working directly with onshore/offshore client teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech), Computer Science, MCA or a related field.

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
