Position: Head Mechanical Design Engineer

We are therefore looking for an 10 - 15 years of experienced Head / Senior Manager – Mechanical Engineering & Turnkey Projects who can establish and lead our mechanical engineering function and take ownership of the mechanical engineering aspects of complex automation and turnkey projects.

Functional Interaction: Managing Director, Sales & BD, SCM, Electrical & Automation, Project Teams

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Mechanical Engineering Leadership.
- Turnkey Project Engineering.
- Automotive / BIW / Automation Projects.
- Mechanical Design: 3D machine design, Assembly design, Machine structures, and Conveyor systems.
- Engineering Software: SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Creo / Pro-E.
- Estimation & Costing: Raw material, Fabrication, Machining, Bought-out components, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Installation, and Outsourcing.
- Technical Support to Sales & Business Development: Participate in the RFQ and proposal stage along with Sales/BD and Engineering.
- Vendor & Manufacturing Coordination: Work closely with SCM and external manufacturing partners.
- Work with Project Management and Finance to monitor: Estimated vs actual mechanical cost, Material cost, Outsourcing cost, Design changes, Project variations, and Mechanical project margin.




- The candidate should be comfortable independently interacting with senior customer personnel such as: Engineering Heads, Project Managers,Plant Heads, and Manufacturing Heads.
- Team Building.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Head of Engineering / Project Director, For overall engineering and project governance, and Electrical & Automation Team.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:

- Automotive OEM projects
- BIW / Body Shop
- Robotic automation
- Assembly lines
- Inspection systems
- Material handling
- Machine builders
- System integrators
- Turnkey automation
- Industrial Automation/SPM experience is an added advantage.

EDUCATION:

- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
