Role Overview
As the Senior HR Manager, you will be responsible for driving the complete HR function across the employee lifecycle — from workforce planning and hiring to performance management, employee engagement, culture, policies, compliance, and retention.
You will work closely with the founders and business leadership to build a scalable, high-performance organisation and ensure that HR evolves in line with the company’s growth.
The ideal candidate will be a strong people leader, business partner, problem solver, and culture builder who can operate independently and bring structure to a rapidly growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Strategy & Business Partnering
* Develop and execute the overall HR strategy aligned with Ace Blend’s business objectives and growth plans.
* Partner closely with founders, leadership and functional heads on people-related decisions.
* Translate business requirements into effective people strategies and processes.
* Drive workforce planning, organisation design and manpower budgeting.
* Identify organisational gaps and recommend solutions around people, structure and capability.
* Build HR systems and processes that can scale with the organisation.
* Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on employee, performance and organisational matters.
2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
* Own the end-to-end recruitment strategy across functions and levels.
* Partner with hiring managers to understand manpower requirements and define role expectations.
* Build strong talent pipelines across business-critical functions.
* Develop effective sourcing strategies through LinkedIn, referrals, agencies, networks and other channels.
* Manage senior and niche hiring mandates independently.
* Drive employer branding initiatives to strengthen Ace Blend’s talent proposition.
* Track recruitment metrics including time-to-hire, quality of hire, offer-to-joining ratio and hiring costs.
* Build a strong candidate experience throughout the hiring journey.
3. Performance Management
* Own and strengthen the company’s performance management framework.
* Drive goal-setting, KRAs/KPIs and performance review cycles.
* Partner with managers to ensure effective performance conversations and feedback mechanisms.
* Identify high performers, underperformers and critical talent.
* Develop performance improvement plans wherever required.
* Build a culture of accountability,
ownership and continuous feedback.
* Work with leadership on succession planning and talent development.
4. Employee Engagement & Culture
* Build and strengthen Ace Blend’s culture as the organisation scales.
* Design and execute employee engagement initiatives, events and internal communication.
* Develop initiatives focused on employee experience, recognition and retention.
* Conduct employee pulse checks and engagement surveys.
* Identify employee concerns and proactively address them.
* Create a positive, inclusive and high-performance work environment.
* Strengthen internal communication between leadership and employees.
5. Learning & Development
* Identify organisation-wide and function-specific learning requirements.
* Build annual learning and development plans.
* Work with external trainers, consultants and platforms wherever required.
* Develop leadership and managerial capability within the organisation.
* Create career development frameworks and growth paths for employees.
* Promote continuous learning and upskilling.
6. HR Policies, Processes & Compliance
* Build, review and implement HR policies and processes across the employee lifecycle.
* Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.
* Own processes related to onboarding, probation, confirmation, transfers, promotions and exits.
* Ensure effective implementation of POSH and other statutory policies.
* Partner with external consultants/legal advisors wherever required.
* Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
* Continuously identify opportunities to improve HR processes and employee experience.
7. HR Operations & HRMS
* Oversee day-to-day HR operations and ensure smooth employee lifecycle management.
* Manage and optimise HRMS, attendance, leave and payroll processes.
* Work closely with finance/payroll teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
* Ensure employee documentation and records are maintained accurately.
* Build HR dashboards and reports for leadership.
* Track key people metrics and provide actionable insights to management.
8. Employee Relations
* Act as the primary point of escalation for employee-related matters.
* Handle grievances, conflicts and disciplinary matters professionally.
* Support managers in handling sensitive employee situations.
* Ensure fair and consistent application of company policies.
* Conduct exit interviews and identify trends impacting attrition and retention.
* Develop initiatives to improve employee retention and overall experience.
9. Organisation Development
* Support the organisation through periods of rapid growth and change.
* Build scalable organisational structures, processes and people practices.
* Identify capability gaps and recommend hiring/development interventions.
* Support leadership in building high-performing teams.
* Develop frameworks for career progression, succession planning and internal mobility.
* Help create a strong leadership pipeline as the organisation expands.
10. HR Analytics & Reporting
* Develop and maintain HR dashboards and monthly people reports.
* Track metrics such as:
* Headcount
* Attrition
* Hiring
* Cost per hire
* Time to hire
* Employee engagement
* Absenteeism
* Performance
* Retention
* Present people insights and recommendations to leadership.
* Use data to identify trends and support better people decisions.
What We Are Looking For
* 6–8 years of overall HR experience, with significant experience in a generalist/HRBP/people leadership capacity.
* Prior experience in D2C, wellness, beauty, lifestyle, nutrition, FMCG, retail, consumer brands or startup environments is highly preferred.
* Strong understanding of the complete employee lifecycle.
* Experience working directly with founders, CXOs and senior leadership.
* Proven experience in building HR processes in a growing organisation.
* Strong experience in talent acquisition and stakeholder management.
* Hands-on experience with performance management and employee engagement.
* Good understanding of HR compliance and labour laws.
* Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
* Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters with maturity.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic and ambiguous environment.
* High ownership mindset with the ability to work independently.
* Strong business understanding and commercial orientation.
