The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Data Centre Estimator to join our Noida-based team and take responsibility for estimating interior fit-out packages on international data centre projects.
This is a specialist pre-construction role working on projects across international markets. You will be responsible for producing accurate, detailed and commercially robust estimates from drawings, specifications, BIM information and subcontractor quotations.
The role is particularly suited to an estimator with 6–10 years' experience in commercial fit-out, technical fit-out, data centres, industrial, pharmaceutical, clean-room or other complex construction environments.
Direct data-centre experience is highly desirable, but strong international estimating experience will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Cost Planning
- Prepare detailed estimates for international data centre interior fit-out projects.
- Review architectural, structural and MEP drawings and specifications.
- Carry out detailed quantity take-offs and prepare BOQs.
- Develop labour, material, plant and subcontractor costs.
- Build detailed rates and cost build-ups.
- Prepare estimates from early budget/concept stage through to competitive tender.
- Identify scope gaps, omissions, discrepancies and interfaces.
- Prepare clear assumptions, exclusions and qualifications.
- Maintain accurate estimating records and cost databases.
- Benchmark costs against previous projects and current market information.
Data Centre Interior Fit-Out
Estimate and develop pricing for packages including, where applicable:
- Data halls
- Technical rooms
- Raised access flooring
- Partitions and drylining
- Suspended and specialist ceilings
- Doors, frames and ironmongery
- Fire-rated construction
- Fire stopping and penetration sealing
- Acoustic treatments
- Specialist and anti-static flooring
- Internal finishes
- Builders' work associated with MEP
- Equipment supports
- Containment interfaces
- Security and access-control interfaces
- Fire and life-safety interfaces
- Temporary protection
- Site logistics and material handling
You will need to understand how architectural fit-out interfaces with mechanical
and electrical systems, even where specialist MEP systems are separately priced.
Subcontractor & Supplier Pricing
- Prepare and issue subcontractor and supplier enquiries.
- Obtain competitive quotations.
- Analyse and normalise subcontractor quotations.
- Identify exclusions, qualifications and scope differences.
- Challenge pricing where appropriate.
- Maintain subcontractor and supplier databases.
- Develop market rates for different international locations.
- Assist with value engineering and alternative construction solutions.
International Estimating
Projects will be located internationally, requiring the ability to work with:
- Different currencies
- International labour markets
- International material pricing
- International subcontractor markets
- Different measurement standards
- Different construction methodologies
- International specifications and tender documentation
- Different project procurement models
Experience estimating projects in the UK, Europe, Middle East, Australia, Asia or North America will be highly advantageous.
What We Are Looking For
Essential
- 6–10 years' construction estimating experience, ideally with significant fit-out
- experience.
- Strong quantity take-off and BOQ preparation skills.
- Experience with commercial, technical, industrial or interior fit-out.
- Strong ability to read architectural and MEP drawings.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Experience obtaining and analysing subcontractor quotations.
- Good understanding of construction methods, materials and sequencing.
- Strong numerical and analytical ability.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
Highly Desirable
- Data centre or mission-critical project experience.
- International estimating experience.
- UK or European construction estimating experience.
- Experience with high-specification technical fit-outs.
- Pharmaceutical / clean-room / controlled-environment experience.
- Industrial or infrastructure project experience.
- BIM quantity take-off experience.
- Advanced Bluebeam Revu experience.
- CostX, Planswift or similar estimating software.
- Degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction
- Management or a related discipline.
The Person
We are looking for someone who can do considerably more than simply perform quantity take-offs.
The successful candidate will understand how projects are constructed and where costs and risks can be missed.
You should be able to take a set of drawings and specifications, understand the construction methodology, develop the quantities, obtain and analyse subcontractor pricing and produce a complete estimate with limited supervision.
You should also be comfortable questioning drawings, specifications and subcontractor quotations when something does not appear commercially or technically correct.

Compensation
₹12–18 LPA CTC, depending on experience and capability.
For an exceptional candidate with strong international and/or direct data-centre estimating experience, ₹20 LPA+ may be considered.
Performance-based salary progression will be available as responsibility and project involvement increase.
