Sales Executive – Freight Forwarding & Export

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Sales Executive to join our freight forwarding and export operations in the Maldives. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of freight forwarding, export procedures, logistics, and international shipping, with proven ability to develop new business and maintain strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and develop new customers and business opportunities in freight forwarding and logistics.
- Generate leads and achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Handle sales of export freight forwarding, air/sea freight, and logistics services.
- Build and maintain solid relationships with customers, overseas agents, and business partners.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate rates, and close sales.
- Coordinate with operations, documentation, and shipping teams to ensure smooth shipment handling.
- Follow up on customer inquiries, quotations, and ongoing shipments.
- Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer information, and business opportunities.




- Ensure excellent customer service and resolve customer issues promptly.

Requirements

- 2–5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, shipping, export, or international trade sales.
- Strong understanding of export documentation and freight forwarding processes.
- Experience in air freight and/or sea freight sales is preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop new customers and generate business independently.
- Good knowledge of MS Office and basic sales reporting.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated, target-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Previous experience in the Maldives or international freight forwarding markets will be an advantage.
