Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Material Handling & Preparation
- Unload, carry, and organize heavy lift components (guide rails, brackets, counterweights, and car frames) to the shaft area.
- Prepare, clean, and sort mechanical tools and installation equipment before work begins.
- Mechanical Assembly Assistance
- Assist senior technicians in fixing guide rails, brackets, and buffer springs in the lift shaft.
- Help assemble the elevator car platform, cabin frame, and counterweight frames under direct supervision.
- Hand tools, bolts, nuts, and parts to the lead mechanic during high-altitude shaft installation.
- Drilling & Fixing
- Perform manual labor including drilling holes into concrete walls for bracket anchoring.
- Assist in tightening structural fasteners, bolts, and mechanical joints to specifications.
- Housekeeping & Safety Compliance
- Maintain a clean, hazard-free work zone inside and around the lift shaft.
- Strictly follow safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like safety harnesses, helmets, and boots.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 20–25 kg), stand for long hours, and work comfortably at heights or in confined lift shafts.
- Technical Aptitude: Basic understanding of hand tools (wrenches, hammers, drilling machines) and measurement layouts.
- Learnability: A robust willingness to take direction from senior technicians and learn elevator mechanics rapidly.
- Communication: Ability to understand and strictly follow verbal commands and safety warnings on noisy construction sites.
What to Expect (Work Environment)
- Working inside dark, enclosed, or high-elevation lift shafts.
- Exposure to construction site noise, dust, and varying weather conditions.
- Excellent career progression to become a certified Lift Installation Technician within 1 to 2 years of practical experience.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
