New Veterinary Clinical Pathology Laboratory — North Goa

Employment: Full-time
Compensation: ₹45,000–₹60,000 per month, depending on experience and capability

We are establishing a recent veterinary clinical pathology laboratory in North Goa, providing B2B diagnostic services to veterinary clinics across Goa.

The laboratory will operate as an outsourced pathology department for veterinary practices, providing reliable sample collection, laboratory testing and rapid digital reporting.

We are looking for an experienced laboratory professional to join us as our Laboratory Director / Senior Laboratory Manager and play a key role in building the laboratory from the ground up.

The Role:

This is not simply an analyser-operator position.

You will be responsible for establishing and managing the day-to-day technical operation of the laboratory, including:

- Haematology and CBC testing
- Clinical biochemistry
- Electrolyte testing
- Urinalysis and routine microscopy
- Peripheral blood smears and parasite examination
- Cytology/FNAC
- Sample accessioning and quality control
- Equipment calibration and maintenance
- Reagent and inventory management
- SOP implementation
- Internal QC and documentation
- Staff training and competency assessment
- Laboratory workflow and turnaround-time management
- LIS/reporting systems
- Coordination with veterinary/pathology consultants
- Reference-laboratory coordination for specialised investigations
- Incident investigation and corrective/preventive actions
- Development of a quality-management system suitable for future NABL accreditation

What we are looking for

Essential:

- DMLT, BMLT, B.Sc. MLT or equivalent recognised qualification
- Minimum 5 years' relevant clinical laboratory experience
- Strong hands-on experience with automated haematology analysers
- Experience with clinical biochemistry analysers
- Practical knowledge of laboratory QC and calibration




- Experience with sample processing and microscopy
- Strong documentation and SOP discipline
- Ability to supervise and train laboratory technicians
- Good computer/LIS skills

Highly desirable

- Experience working in an NABL-accredited laboratory
- Experience with ISO 15189 quality systems
- Experience managing laboratory equipment and reagent inventories
- Experience developing or implementing SOPs
- Previous supervisory/managerial experience
- Experience with cytology or pathology workflows

Veterinary laboratory experience is advantageous BUT NOT ESSENTIAL.

A strong candidate from a human clinical pathology laboratory with excellent technical and quality-management experience will be considered.
