JOB DESCRIPTIONPhysics Teacher – Roles and ResponsibilitiesJob Summary

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Physics Teacher with strong subject knowledge and effective teaching skills to educate secondary and higher secondary students. The candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging physics lessons, conducting laboratory experiments, assessing student performance, and encouraging scientific thinking and problem-solving skills.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. Teaching and Subject Delivery

- Teach Physics topics such as motion, force, energy, electricity, magnetism, waves, optics, and other concepts according to the prescribed curriculum.
- Explain complex scientific concepts in a clear, simple, and practical manner.
- Use real-life examples, demonstrations, and interactive teaching methods to improve student understanding.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students.

2. Lesson Planning and Preparation

- Prepare structured lesson plans in accordance with the school syllabus and academic calendar.
- Develop teaching materials, presentations, worksheets, assignments, and classroom activities.
- Set clear learning objectives and ensure timely completion of the syllabus.
- Integrate digital tools and innovative teaching aids to enhance classroom learning.

3. Laboratory Experiments and Practical Training

- Conduct physics laboratory experiments and practical sessions to strengthen students’ understanding of theoretical concepts.
- Demonstrate the correct use of laboratory equipment and scientific instruments.
- Guide students in performing experiments, recording observations, analysing results, and drawing conclusions.
- Ensure laboratory safety procedures are followed and maintain proper use of equipment and materials.

4. Student Assessment and Evaluation

- Prepare and conduct tests, quizzes, assignments, practical examinations, and term examinations.
- Evaluate students’ academic performance and provide constructive feedback.




- Monitor individual student progress and identify areas requiring improvement.
- Maintain accurate academic records and prepare progress reports.
- Provide additional academic support and remedial teaching when required.

5. Scientific Thinking and Problem-Solving

- Develop students’ analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and numerical problem-solving abilities.
- Encourage curiosity, scientific inquiry, experimentation, and independent learning.
- Guide students in physics projects, science exhibitions, and other academic activities.
- Help students apply physics principles to real-world situations.

6. Classroom Management

- Maintain classroom discipline and establish clear expectations for student behaviour.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Encourage active participation, teamwork, and meaningful classroom discussions.
- Ensure students remain focused and motivated throughout the learning process.

7. Student Support and Guidance

- Clarify students’ doubts and provide additional explanations for challenging concepts.
- Offer individual attention to students who require academic assistance.
- Encourage students to develop confidence in solving numerical problems and understanding scientific principles.
- Guide students in preparing for board examinations and other academic assessments, as applicable.

8. Administrative and Institutional Responsibilities

- Maintain student attendance, academic records, laboratory records, and assessment documentation.
- Coordinate with fellow teachers, department heads, and school management regarding academic progress.
- Attend staff meetings, parent–teacher meetings,



training sessions, and school events.
- Follow institutional policies, academic schedules, and professional standards.

9. Professional Development

- Stay updated on developments in Physics, science education, and contemporary teaching methodologies.
- Participate in professional development programmes, workshops, and training sessions.
- Implement effective teaching strategies to improve student learning outcomes.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and continuous improvement of science education.

Qualifications

- M.Sc. in Physics from a recognised university.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is required.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach Physics at the secondary and higher secondary levels.

Experience

- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience as a Physics Teacher in a school or educational institution.
- Experience teaching secondary and higher secondary students.
- Practical experience in conducting physics laboratory experiments and practical classes.
- Experience preparing lesson plans, assignments, question papers, and assessments in accordance with the curriculum.
- Experience guiding students in academic projects, scientific activities, and problem-solving exercises.

Required Skills

- Strong understanding of Physics concepts and numerical problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and classroom teaching skills.
- Effective classroom management and student engagement.
- Practical knowledge of laboratory equipment and safety procedures.
- Ability to explain complex concepts using simple examples and demonstrations.

- Patience, adaptability, and the ability to motivate students.
- Proficiency in using digital teaching tools and educational resources.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
