Position Overview

General Aeronautics is looking for a Diploma Engineer with 3–4 years of experience in Heavy Industry / Manufacturing to support its production, assembly, manufacturing, maintenance, and operational activities.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in an industrial environment, with knowledge of production processes, machinery, maintenance, quality, safety, and shop-floor operations.

The candidate will work closely with the Engineering, Production, Stores, Quality, and Operations teams to ensure smooth and effective manufacturing operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Manufacturing

- Manage and monitor day-to-day production and shop-floor activities.
- Coordinate assembly, fabrication, machining, and production-related activities.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within the defined timelines.
- Monitor manpower, machines, materials, and production schedules.
- Identify production bottlenecks and coordinate corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.

Machinery & Equipment

- Monitor the operation and condition of production machinery and equipment.
- Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Identify machine-related issues and coordinate with maintenance teams for resolution.
- Ensure proper usage and maintenance of tools, machinery, and equipment.
- Maintain basic records of machine maintenance and breakdowns.

Technical Operations

- Read and understand engineering drawings, technical specifications, BOMs, and work instructions.
- Support fabrication, assembly, integration, and testing activities.
- Conduct basic inspection and measurement of components.
- Identify technical and manufacturing defects and coordinate corrective action.
- Support process improvement and productivity enhancement initiatives.

Quality Control





- Ensure production activities meet defined quality standards.
- Conduct basic quality checks and inspections at various stages of production.
- Identify defective components, assemblies, and materials.
- Coordinate with the Quality team for inspection and corrective actions.
- Minimize production defects, rework, and material wastage.

Stores & Material Coordination

- Coordinate with Stores for timely availability of raw materials, components, tools, and consumables.
- Monitor material movement and consumption on the shop floor.
- Support proper inventory tracking and material traceability.
- Ensure materials are handled and stored safely.

Safety & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with industrial safety procedures.
- Follow PPE and workplace safety requirements.
- Identify potential safety hazards and report them to the concerned team.
- Ensure proper handling of machinery, tools, electrical equipment, and industrial materials.

Reporting & Documentation

- Maintain daily production and operational reports.
- Track production targets, downtime, defects, and material consumption.
- Maintain machine maintenance and breakdown records.
- Prepare periodic reports for management.
- Ensure proper documentation of production and technical activities.

Required Qualification

Diploma in:

- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Automobile Engineering
- Mechatronics
- Production Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Or any other relevant engineering discipline

Required Experience

- 3–4 years of experience in Heavy Industry / Manufacturing / Engineering Industry.
- Experience in heavy machinery, fabrication, automotive, aerospace, industrial equipment, manufacturing, or engineering production will be preferred.
- Candidates with strong shop-floor and production experience will be given preference.

- Strong understanding of industrial production processes.
- Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with industrial tools and machinery.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Knowledge of fabrication, machining, assembly, and maintenance processes.
- Basic understanding of quality control and inspection procedures.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
- Good knowledge of industrial safety practices.
- Good coordination and team-management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic reporting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

- Experience working in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong hands-on exposure to shop-floor operations.
- Experience coordinating with Production, Maintenance, Stores, and Quality teams.
- Ability to handle technical and operational challenges independently.
- Willingness to learn and work in the Drone Technology and Agri-Tech industry.
- Strong discipline, ownership, and attention to detail.

Compensation

Salary: ₹30,000 per month

The compensation will be based on the candidate's relevant experience, technical skills, and suitability for the role.
