Position: Steel Estimator

Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech - Civil / Mechanical / Diploma in Civil

Industry: Defence Infrastructure, PEB, Industrial Sheds, Steel Buildings

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Steel Estimation & Quantity Take-off:

- Detailed quantity take-off of steel structures from Architectural & Structural drawings
- Estimation of PEB structures, Hot Rolled Structures, Tubular structures, Roofing & Cladding
- Preparation of BOQ for structural steel, sheeting, purlins, sag rods, bolts, anchor bolts, etc.
- Weight calculation of all steel members - Columns, Rafters, Beams, Bracings

2. Rate Analysis & Costing:

- Preparation of detailed rate analysis for steel fabrication, erection and finishing items
- Costing of bought-out items - Decking sheets, Purlins, Insulation, Bolts, Paints
- Preparation of comparative statements and cost sheets for PEB & Steel works
- Working on cost optimization and value engineering

3. Tendering & Proposal:

- Study of tender drawings,



specifications and preparation of technical queries
- Preparation of estimation sheets, offer sheets and proposal drawings coordination
- Coordination with design team for structural weight and connection details
- Preparation of technical and commercial proposals for steel tenders

4. Coordination & Software Skills:

- Coordination with Design, Detailing, Procurement and Projects team
- Coordination with vendors and subcontractors for fabrication & erection rates
- Handling client queries, pre-bid meetings and estimation-related discussions
- Maintaining estimation database, rate database and MIS reports

5. Technical Skills Required:

- Must have solid knowledge of IS Codes - IS 800, IS 801, MBMA, AISC
- Expertise in Tekla, AutoCAD, MS Excel (Advanced formulas) - Mandatory
- Knowledge of Staad Pro will be an added advantage
- Sound knowledge of steel grades, sections, connections and PEB components

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
