Job Description – Piping QA/QC Engineer

Position: Piping – QA/QC Engineer
Location: Dahej, Gujarat
Experience: 8–12 Years
Qualification: Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Work Environment: Construction Site / EPC Projects

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor and inspect piping fabrication, erection, fit-up, welding, and installation at site.
- Ensure work complies with approved drawings, specifications, ITPs, method statements, and quality standards.
- Inspect piping materials, MTCs, traceability, fit-up, welding, alignment, supports, and valves.
- Coordinate NDT, hydrotesting, flushing, reinstatement, and test-pack activities.
- Review P&IDs;, isometric drawings, piping layouts, and applicable specifications.
- Prepare and maintain WIR/RFI, inspection reports, ITPs, test packs, punch lists, and quality dossiers.
- Identify quality deviations, raise NCRs, and ensure timely corrective action and closure.
- Coordinate with client, consultant, subcontractors, welding/NDT teams, and construction teams.
- Support final inspection,



punch-point clearance, commissioning, and project handover.
- Ensure compliance with project HSE and quality requirements at the construction site.

Key Skills

- Robust knowledge of Piping QA/QC and construction inspection.
- Good knowledge of piping fabrication, erection, welding, NDT, and testing.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs;, isometric drawings, GA drawings, and piping layouts.
- Knowledge of ASME B31.3, ASME Section IX, API, ASTM, and project specifications.
- Experience in WPS/PQR, welder qualification, welding inspection, and NDT coordination.
- Knowledge of hydrotesting, flushing, reinstatement, and test-pack preparation.
- Strong documentation, reporting, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a construction-site environment and coordinate with multiple teams.

Pay: Up to ₹60,000.00 per month
