Role Description This part-time remote Cyber Security Specialist role is responsible for safeguarding Symaro’s platforms, infrastructure, and client solutions. Daily tasks include assessing application and network vulnerabilities, reviewing security configurations, and monitoring systems for potential threats. The specialist will support incident response activities, document security findings, and recommend remediation measures.
The role also involves collaborating with engineering teams to integrate security best practices into development workflows and supporting security compliance and data protection initiatives.
Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong skills in Cybersecurity and Information Security, including risk assessment and threat analysis.
• Candidates should possess skills in Network Security, such as secure network design, firewall configuration, and intrusion detection.
• Candidates should possess skills in Application Security, including secure coding practices, code review, and vulnerability testing.
• Candidates should possess a solid understanding of Cyber threats, incident response procedures, and security monitoring tools.
• Relevant experience with endpoint protection, MDM solutions, and cloud security is beneficial.
• Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH are an advantage.
