They are responsible for preparing and maintaining the operating room, ensuring all surgical instruments are sterile, and assisting surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff before, during, and after surgical procedures. The primary goal is to ensure a safe, sterile, and efficient workplace for patient surgery.
