Job Summary

As a Cashier / Sr. Cashier, you will be responsible for managing the billing and payment process, handling cash and other modes of payment, maintaining accurate transaction records, and ensuring smooth and effective cashier operations at the Tanishq showroom.

The role requires strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, integrity, customer service skills, and the ability to handle transactions responsibly.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle customer billing and ensure accurate generation of invoices.
- Operate billing systems and process transactions efficiently.
- Handle cash, card, UPI, and other payment modes as per company guidelines.
- Verify payment details and ensure accuracy of all transactions.
- Maintain daily cash and billing records.
- Perform cash counting and cash reconciliation at the end of the day.
- Coordinate with the Store Manager for cash deposits and daily closing activities.
- Ensure proper handling and documentation of refunds, cancellations, exchanges, and discounts as per SOP.




- Verify customer and transaction details before completing billing.
- Maintain proper records of invoices, receipts, payment slips, and other required documents.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls, and store SOPs.
- Handle customer queries related to billing and payments professionally.
- Coordinate with the sales team to ensure smooth billing and customer checkout.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of cash, customer information, and transaction records.
- Support store operations and other administrative activities as required.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and professional billing counter.
- Report any billing discrepancies, payment issues, or cash differences to the Store Manager immediately.
- Support audits and stock/billing verification activities when required.

Eligibility

Education

- Any Degree (UG)
- Diploma in Retail, Commerce, Finance, or related fields will be an added advantage.
- B.Com graduates/freshers interested in retail operations may also apply.

Experience

- Prior experience in cashiering, billing, retail, jewellery, banking, finance, or customer service will be an added advantage.
