Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced and responsible Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting activities, client accounts, reconciliations, GST/TDS-related accounting work, and finalisation support.

The candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, Tally Prime, Excel, GST, TDS and financial statements, with the ability to independently manage multiple client accounts and guide junior team members.

- Key Responsibilities1. Accounting & BookkeepingMaintain complete and accurate books of accounts for clients.
- Handle sales, purchase, receipt, payment and journal entries.
- Review accounting entries passed by junior team members.
- Ensure proper ledger classification and accounting treatment.
- Maintain and review debtor and creditor ledgers.
- Perform regular bank and ledger reconciliations.
- Identify and rectify accounting discrepancies.
- 2. GST & Tax Compliance SupportReview GST-related accounting data and reconciliations.
- Assist in preparation and review of GST returns.
- Reconcile purchase data with GSTR-2B.
- Review ITC-related differences and follow up for corrections.
- Support GST annual return and related reconciliation work.
- Coordinate with the tax/GST team wherever required.
- 3. TDS & Other ComplianceReview TDS-related accounting and deduction entries.
- Assist in TDS return preparation and reconciliation.
- Ensure proper accounting of TDS receivable/payable.
- Coordinate with the compliance team for statutory requirements.
- 4. Finalisation & Financial StatementsAssist in monthly, quarterly and annual finalisation of accounts.
- Prepare/review:

- Trial Balance
- Profit & Loss Account
- Balance Sheet
- Schedules and supporting statements
- Debtors/Creditors ageing
- Bank reconciliation statements
- Pass year-end adjustment and provision entries as required.
- Prepare data and working papers required for audit and tax assignments.
- 5. Client ManagementIndependently communicate with clients regarding accounting requirements.
- Follow up for pending accounting data and documents.
- Understand client business transactions and ensure appropriate accounting treatment.
- Resolve routine accounting queries and escalate complex matters to seniors.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned client work.
- 6. Team SupervisionAllocate routine accounting work to junior accountants.
- Review work completed by junior team members.
- Train juniors on accounting procedures and software.
- Monitor deadlines and ensure timely completion of assignments.
- Identify errors and ensure corrective action.
- Support the team in maintaining proper working papers and documentation.
- 7. MIS & ReportingPrepare client-wise accounting reports and MIS as required.
- Provide management with information regarding outstanding items, reconciliations and pending work.
- Track pending documents and accounting issues.
- Maintain proper records of completed and pending assignments.
- Required SkillsStrong knowledge of accounting principles.




- Excellent knowledge of Tally Prime.
- Positive working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Practical knowledge of GST and TDS.
- Knowledge of financial statement preparation and finalisation.
- Strong reconciliation skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Good communication and client-handling skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple assignments.
- Ability to work within deadlines and under pressure.
- Team management and review skills.
- Preferred QualificationsB.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / equivalent qualification.
- 3–6 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Experience in a CA firm will be preferred.
- Experience handling multiple clients will be an advantage.

Key Performance Indicators (KRA)The Senior Accountant will primarily be evaluated on:

1. Accuracy of accounting
2. Timely completion of assigned work
3. Quality of GST/TDS reconciliations
4. Quality of finalisation work
5. Client response and coordination
6. Review and supervision of junior staff
7. Reduction in accounting errors
8. Proper documentation and working papers
9. Meeting monthly compliance and internal deadlines
10. Ability to independently handle client assignments

ReportingReports To: Partner / Senior Management / Accounts Department Head

Supervises: Junior Accountants / Account Executives / Trainees, as assigned

Candidate ProfileWe are looking for someone who is responsible, detail-oriented, deadline-focused and capable of taking ownership of client accounts independently. The candidate should not only pass accounting entries but should understand the complete accounting cycle and be capable of reviewing and improving the work of the team.
