JOB DESCRIPTION – LIFT/ELEVATOR TECHNICIAN

Designation: Lift Technician

Reporting To: Operations Engineer / Supervisor

Job Purpose: To carry out safe and efficient installation, maintenance, servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of elevator systems as per company standards and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

- Installation and assembly of lift/elevator components at site.
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of elevators.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
- Check lift components including motor, brake, controller, ropes, guide rails, doors, sensors, switches, and safety devices.
- Perform lift testing, adjustment, and commissioning support.
- Attend customer complaints and service requirements on time.
- Ensure proper use and handling of tools, equipment, and company materials.
- Follow all safety procedures while working at height and at elevator sites.
- Maintain service/installation records and provide site updates to the reporting manager.
- Coordinate with Operations Engineer, Supervisor, Helper, and other site team members.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper arrangement of tools and materials at the work site.
- Report any defective, damaged, or unsafe equipment immediately.
- Follow company rules, discipline, and instructions.

Required Qualification:

- ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Fitter,



or related trade preferred.
- Freshers with relevant ITI qualification may also be considered.
- Experience in lift/elevator installation, maintenance, or servicing will be an advantage.
- Required SkillsBasic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to use basic tools and testing equipment.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
- Willingness to work at different customer/site locations.
- Ability to work at height and in site conditions.
- Positive teamwork and communication skills.
- Safety-conscious and disciplined approach to work.

Experience:

- 0–3 years in lift/elevator installation, maintenance, service, or related electrical/mechanical work.
- Employment TermsInitial employment may be contractual as per company policy.
- Confirmation/permanent employment will be based on performance, conduct, skill development, and business requirements.
- Salary and other benefits will be as per the approved compensation structure.
- Travel to different sites may be required depending on work requirements.
