QS Engineer – Job Description

Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka

Salary: ₹30,000 – ₹60,000 per month

Experience: Minimum 2 years

Education: Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering preferred

- Job ResponsibilitiesPrepare quantity take-offs, BOQs, estimates, and cost calculations for civil construction projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements to determine material and labour quantities.
- Prepare and evaluate quotations, rate analysis, and project cost estimates.
- Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, vendors, and project teams.
- Monitor project costs and compare actual expenses with estimated budgets.
- Prepare and verify measurement sheets, bills, and work orders.
- Assist in contractor billing, certification, and payment-related documentation.
- Identify variations in quantities, materials, and project scope.
- Maintain proper records of project quantities, costs,



and commercial documentation.
- Support the project team in maintaining cost control and ensuring projects remain within budget.
- RequirementsMinimum 2 years of experience as a QS Engineer / Quantity Surveyor.
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering preferred.
- Good knowledge of quantity estimation, BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and billing.
- Ability to read and understand civil construction drawings.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and quantity-surveying software/tools.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.
- Valuable communication and coordination skills.
- Experience in construction/infrastructure projects will be preferred.
