Engineering Manufacturing in Chennai is seeking a Fire Door Design & New Product Development Designer to design fire-rated doors, windows, frames, glazing, and hardware. You will create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks/Creo, and lead new product development from concept through prototype to production-ready design.

- QualificationsDiploma or B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience; more is welcome.
- Experience must be from the Fire Door / Fire-Rated Door / Fire-Rated Window industry.
- Experience in Fire Door Design, Fire-Rated Window Design, Product Development, or manufacturing drawings.
- Hands-on experience in recent fire door development, prototype development, testing, and design improvement preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks / Creo for 2D drawings and 3D modeling.




- ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop fire doors, fire-rated windows, frames, glazing, hardware, and related components.
- Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks/Creo.
- Lead new fire door and fire-rated window product development from concept to production-ready design.
- Develop door leaf construction, frame profiles, insulation, glazing, hinges, locks, seals, and reinforcements.
- Prepare fabrication drawings, BOMs, material specs, and production documentation.
- Coordinate prototype development with production and fabrication teams; implement design improvements.
- Support product testing, trial production, failure analysis, and corrective actions.
- Modify designs per customer/project requirements while maintaining manufacturability.
- Collaborate with shop-floor teams to ensure manufacturability and quality.
