About the Role
MicroDegree is looking for an enthusiastic and people-oriented Community Manager to build and grow the Tech.Harate community. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology, networking, events, and community engagement.
You will be responsible for creating an active and engaging technology community by organizing meetups, workshops, networking events, and collaborating with technology professionals, companies, speakers, and partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, manage, and grow the Tech.Harate community.
- Plan and coordinate meetups, workshops, tech events, and community activities.
- Engage with developers, students, tech professionals, founders, and other community members.
- Build relationships with speakers, mentors, companies, colleges, and technology communities.
- Identify and develop opportunities for partnerships and collaborations.
- Manage community communication through social media, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms.
- Create engaging content and promote upcoming events and community initiatives.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth execution of events.
- Track community growth, engagement, event participation, and feedback.
- Stay updated on technology trends and identify topics that can bring value to the community.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- 1+ years of experience in community management, event coordination, social media, marketing, or a related role.
- Experience in community building, technology communities, meetups, workshops, or events is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good networking and relationship-building abilities.
- Comfortable interacting with technology professionals, students, speakers, and organizations.
- Valuable organizational and event-management skills.
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms and digital engagement.
- Passion for technology and interest in building communities.
