Key responsibilities:

- Chart analysis: Reading candlestick, line, and bar charts to identify trends, support and resistance levels, and chart patterns (head and shoulders, triangles, flags, double tops/bottoms).
- Using indicators: Applying tools such as moving averages, RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands, and volume indicators to confirm trends and spot overbought or oversold conditions.
- Identifying entry and exit points: Recommending specific price levels to buy, sell, or place stop-losses.
- Risk management: Setting stop-loss and target levels and calculating risk-reward ratios.
- Market sentiment and momentum tracking: Monitoring breadth, volatility (such as the VIX), and relative strength across stocks and sectors.
- Backtesting strategies: Testing trading rules against historical data to check whether they would have worked.
- Short- to medium-term forecasting: Producing trade ideas and outlooks, typically over days, weeks, or months.

- Financial statement analysis: Reviewing the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement for revenue growth, margins, debt levels,



and cash generation.
- Ratio analysis: Calculating and interpreting metrics like P/E, P/B, EPS, ROE, ROCE, debt-to-equity, and dividend yield.
- Valuation modeling: Building discounted cash flow (DCF) models, comparable company analysis, and other valuation frameworks to estimate fair value.
- Business and management assessment: Evaluating the company's competitive advantage, product mix, governance quality, and management track record.
- Industry and economic analysis: Studying sector trends, competition, regulation, interest rates, inflation, and GDP growth that affect the company.
- Earnings forecasting: Projecting future revenue, profit, and cash flow, and tracking results against expectations.
- Research reporting: Writing research reports with buy, hold, or sell recommendations and target prices.
- Long-term investment guidance: Supporting investment decisions with horizons of months to years.
