Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Windows System Administrator role based in Gurugram.
The Windows System
Administrator will manage and maintain Windows servers and related systems, including installation, configuration, patching, and performance monitoring. The role involves handling user account management, permissions, security policies, and backup and recovery procedures to ensure high availability and data integrity. The individual will provide technical support and troubleshooting for system and server issues, coordinate with cross-functional teams for incident resolution, and document configurations,
procedures, and incidents.
The Windows System
Administrator will also contribute to system optimization, capacity planning, and adherence to organizational security and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Windows System Administration and general System Administration for enterprise environments.
- Proficiency in Server Administration, including installation, configuration, patch management, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with Troubleshooting and Technical Support, including incident diagnosis, root cause analysis, and resolution.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery tools, monitoring solutions, and security best practices for Windows infrastructure.
- Working knowledge of virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls).
- Ability to create and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and standard operating procedures.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, Azure Administrator, or equivalent are preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, in office environment.
