KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Supervise welding activities at the workshop.
- Manage the performance and training of welders.
- Ensure compliance with approved WPS/PQR and project specifications.
- Coordinate welding and inspection activities.
- Monitor welding quality, productivity, and work progress.
- Guide welders in improving welding techniques and productivity.
REQUIRED SKILLS• Must be personally capable of welding CS & SS piping in 6G position using GTAW + SMAW techniques.
- Ability to test, assess, and recruit a group of welders.
- Ability to coach welders to improve their welding skills and productivity.
- Valuable knowledge of common welding defects, their causes, prevention, and rectification.
- Strong understanding of welding safety and quality requirements.
- Experience in heavy fabrication / Oil & Gas projects is preferred.
