Role Description The Water Technician is a full-time, in office role based in Ahmedabad. This role is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining water and wastewater treatment systems to ensure they meet internal quality standards and regulatory requirements. Daily tasks include inspecting equipment, performing routine maintenance, recording operational data, and adjusting treatment processes based on testing results.
The Water
Technician will identify and respond to water-related issues, collaborate with quality and production teams, and follow safety and cGMP guidelines at all times.
The role also involves supporting preventive maintenance schedules, assisting in incident management related to water systems, and communicating system status and any deviations to supervisors.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Water Treatment and Wastewater Treatment for managing plant utilities and ensuring compliant water quality.
- Candidates should possess skills in Equipment Maintenance to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain treatment systems and related machinery.
- Candidates should possess skills in Water Damage assessment to identify, report, and help mitigate water-related incidents within the facility.
- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and document operational activities clearly.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, industrial chemistry, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working in GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or lifescience manufacturing environments is an advantage.
- Knowledge of safety protocols, basic laboratory testing for water quality, and compliance with local environmental regulations is beneficial.
- Ability to work in shifts, follow standard operating procedures, and maintain accurate records of equipment and system performance.
