Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Video Editor at The Creative Potato.

The Video

Editor will be responsible for editing raw footage into polished video content for brand campaigns, social media, websites, and other digital platforms. Day-to-day tasks include organizing and trimming clips, adding transitions and effects, synchronizing audio, applying color grading, and integrating motion graphics and other visual assets to align with brand guidelines. The role involves collaborating with creative directors, designers, and marketing team members to interpret storyboards, refine visual narratives, and deliver content on schedule.

Editor will also maintain project files, optimize videos for various formats, and contribute creative ideas to improve overall production quality.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Video Production and Video Editing, including handling different formats and workflows.
- Candidates should possess skills in Video Color Grading to ensure consistent, polished, and visually appealing output.
- Candidates should possess skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics to create engaging visual elements and overlays.
- Proficiency in industry-standard editing and post-production tools (such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar) is beneficial.
- Experience creating content for digital platforms, social media, or marketing campaigns is preferred.
- Strong storytelling abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to follow brand guidelines while contributing creative ideas are important.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines in a remote environment, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams is expected.
- A relevant portfolio demonstrating video editing and motion graphics work is required; formal education in film, media, design, or a related field is an advantage.
