Role Description The Training and Placement Officer role is a full-time on-site position based at MERI’s campus in Janakpuri, Delhi, India. The individual in this role will plan, coordinate, and manage campus placement activities, including identifying prospective recruiters, building and maintaining relationships with industry partners, and organizing Industrial visits,placement drives and internship opportunities. Day-to-day responsibilities include liaising with faculty and program heads to understand student profiles, scheduling pre-placement talks and interviews, and ensuring smooth execution of recruitment processes.

The role also involves designing and delivering training programs and workshops on soft skills, interview preparation, résumé building, and professional etiquette to enhance students’ employability.



The Training and Placement Officer will track placement outcomes, maintain relevant data and reports, and continuously seek new industry linkages and opportunities for students.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid campus placement and college recruiting skills, including experience in coordinating placement drives and managing employer relationships.
- Candidates should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, recruiters, faculty, and administrative staff.
- Candidates should possess soft skills training capabilities, with experience in conducting workshops on personality development, interview skills, and workplace readiness.
- Candidates should possess training design and delivery skills, including the ability to develop structured training modules and assessment mechanisms.
- Relevant experience in placement or career services within higher education, preferably at a B-School or technical institute, is highly beneficial.
- Strong organizational and coordination abilities, data management skills, and proficiency in basic office and communication tools are expected.
- Awareness of industry trends, hiring practices, and local and national job markets will be an added advantage.
