We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Manager to lead hiring across our businesses. You will partner with business heads to attract the right talent across core and enabling functions. The role needs someone who understands the wealth industry, can hold credible conversations with senior candidates, and can run a disciplined, data-driven hiring process.
Key Responsibilities
Talent strategy and partnering
- Work with business and function heads to understand hiring needs, build workforce plans, and set hiring priorities.
- Advise leaders on role design, grading, compensation benchmarks, and market availability of talent.
- Build and maintain talent maps of competitors, peer firms, and adjacent segments (private banks, broking, AMCs, family offices).
Sourcing and hiring
- Own the end-to-end hiring lifecycle: intake, sourcing, screening, shortlisting, interviews, offer, and onboarding handover.
- Lead search for senior and niche roles for sales and enabling functions across businesses.
- Build direct sourcing pipelines through LinkedIn Recruiter, employee referrals, networking, and talent communities, and manage search-firm partners actively.
- Assess candidates on domain knowledge, client book quality, portability, track record, and cultural fit.
Offer and closure
- Structure offers in line with internal parity, budgets, and market benchmarks while closely working with the HRBPs.
- Manage negotiations, counter-offers, notice-period buyouts, and pre-joining engagement to maximize offer-to-join conversion.
Process, compliance,
and governance
- Run structured interview processes and ensure consistent, unbiased evaluation.
- Ensure thorough background verification and regulatory checks (for example CFA/CA/NISM/AMFI certifications and reference checks, as applicable to the role).
- Maintain the ATS and report on time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, source effectiveness, offer acceptance, and quality of hire.
Employer brand
- Position the firm as an employer of choice among industry professionals through content, events, and referral programs.
- Partner with campuses and industry forums for early-career and lateral hiring pipelines.
Qualification & Experience
- Master's degree in HR, Management, or a related field (MBA/PGDM preferred).
- 8 to 10 years in talent acquisition, with at least 4 years hiring for wealth management, private banking, asset management, broking, or financial services.
- Proven record in senior and lateral hiring, including revenue-generating roles.
Skills
- Solid understanding of the wealth business model, including client segments, coverage structures, and productivity metrics.
- Excellent stakeholder management with senior leaders and the ability to push back with data.
- Strong assessment and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency with ATS and sourcing tools, and comfort with recruitment analytics.
- Sound judgment on confidentiality, especially for senior and sensitive searches.
Preferred
- Exposure to organizational design, span-of-control, and workforce structuring.
- Experience with search-firm management and hiring in trading or capital markets roles.
- Network within the Mumbai wealth and financial services talent community.
