Role Description The Study Abroad Counselor is a full time, in office role based in Surat. The counselor will guide students through the entire overseas education journey, including understanding their academic background, career goals, and country preferences. Day-to-day responsibilities include advising on suitable courses and universities, assisting with application documentation, coordinating test preparation guidance, and supporting students during visa filing and interview preparation.

The role involves conducting counseling sessions, information seminars, and follow-ups with prospective and enrolled students,



while maintaining accurate records in internal systems. The counselor will also liaise with universities and partners, provide pre-departure briefings, and collaborate with the team to achieve enrollment and satisfaction targets.

Qualifications

- Strong student counseling and advisory skills, with the ability to understand academic goals and recommend suitable study options.
- Knowledge of international education systems and admission processes for key destinations such as Australia, Canada, the UK, the USA, Ireland, and the UAE.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including clear spoken and written English and the ability to build trust with students and families.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple applications, deadlines, and follow-ups efficiently.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in managing documentation, forms, and visa-related processes.
- Basic computer proficiency, including use of email, spreadsheets, CRM or student management systems, and online research tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to a dynamic, target-driven counseling setup.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a background in education, counseling, or international relations is an advantage.
- Prior experience in overseas education consulting, career counseling, or student support services is preferred but not mandatory.
