Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated Structural Analysis & Bridge Monitoring Engineer to join our Infrastructure team. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting detailed bridge inspections, structural assessments, monitoring activities, and maintaining bridge asset inventories using Mobile Bridge Inspection Units (MBIUs). This role plays a vital part in ensuring the safety, serviceability, and longevity of bridge infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
- Bridge Inspection & Monitoring and Routine and Special Inspections
- Conduct routine and detailed inspections of bridges to identify structural deficiencies, deterioration, and safety concerns.
- Perform special inspections following extreme weather events, accidents, natural disasters, or any incidents affecting bridge integrity.
- Evaluate bridge components and document observations in accordance with established inspection standards.
Visual and Instrumental Assessments
- Carry out visual inspections using advanced tools such as drones, high-resolution cameras, and MBIUs.
- Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques including:
- Ultrasonic Testing (UT) , Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT) , Radiographic Testing (RT)
- Assess structural condition and identify hidden defects, cracks, corrosion, and other deterioration mechanisms.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare detailed inspection and assessment reports with photographs, sketches, annotated drawings, and recommendations.
- Maintain comprehensive records of inspections, findings, and maintenance history.
- Utilize digital reporting systems and integrate data with bridge management systems.
- Generate periodic monitoring reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Safety Compliance
- Adhere to all safety regulations and inspection protocols.
- Coordinate traffic management arrangements during bridge inspections.
- Ensure secure deployment and operation of inspection equipment at site.
Structural Analysis
- Evaluate the structural integrity and performance of bridges based on inspection findings and testing data.
- Analyze structural deficiencies and recommend maintenance, rehabilitation, or repair measures.
- Interpret NDT results and assess their impact on structural safety and serviceability.
- Support condition assessment and life-cycle management of bridge assets.
- Structural Inventory Management
- Database Management
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory database of bridge structures.
- Record inspection findings, structural details, repairs, modifications, and maintenance activities.
- Inventory Audits
- Conduct periodic audits to verify inventory accuracy and completeness.
- Update records based on field inspections and project developments.
- Mobile Bridge Inspection Unit (MBIU) Operations
- Operate and deploy Mobile Bridge Inspection Units for bridge inspection activities.
- Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for safe and effective equipment operation.
- Coordinate with site teams and traffic authorities during field inspections.
- Ensure proper maintenance and safe handling of MBIU equipment.
- Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods and structural assessment techniques.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in bridge inspection, structural analysis, monitoring, or related infrastructure projects.
Mandatory Requirements :
- Ability to work both in office and field environments.
- Willingness to travel extensively to bridge inspection sites.
- Ability to perform site inspections in varying weather and terrain conditions
