Strategic Sourcing Specialist – Raw Materials for Home & Personal Care, Flavour & Fragrance, Food & Beverage, C.A.S.E, Water Treatment Chemicals & Industrial Solvents

Position Summary

We are seeking an energetic, results-driven Strategic Sourcing Specialist to manage chemical raw material procurement from US & APAC-based manufacturers and suppliers. The ideal candidate has managed an annual portfolio spend of $5M+, possesses solid commercial acumen to handle complex RFQs for Tier-1 Enterprise Accounts, and exhibits fluent spoken and written English communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Enterprise RFQ Management: Lead high-velocity RFQs and tender bids for global enterprise accounts (P&G;, Unilever, PepsiCo, Federal bids, etc.), ensuring quick turnarounds, competitive pricing, and accurate technical/regulatory alignment.
- Spend Management: Manage and optimize an annual chemical purchasing portfolio of $5M+, driving cost savings, margin improvements, and supply security.
- Supplier Development: Identify, audit, onboard, and nurture long-term relationships with chemical manufacturers and distributors. Should be willing & Flexible to work around US (EST/CST) hours.




- Commercial Negotiations: Lead price negotiations, contract terms, lead times, and MOQs with vendors to secure preferred allocation and commercial terms.
- Market Intelligence & Collaboration: Track raw material feedstock trends, benchmark US pricing, and partner cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, R&D;, and Quality teams to qualify backup supply sources.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Experience: 3 to 5 years of dedicated strategic sourcing / procurement experience in the chemical or specialty chemical industry.
- US Market Exposure: Proven track record working directly with manufacturers and suppliers based in the United States & APAC region.
- Enterprise Handling: Demonstrated capability in executing RFQs, bids, and specifications tailored to multinational enterprise accounts.
- Portfolio Spend: Proven experience managing an annual spend of $5M USD.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills with a confident, polished corporate demeanor.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Administration.
