Role DescriptionWe are looking for experienced Senior GIS & LiDAR Engineers to join our team in Visakhapatnam.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Mobile Laser Scanning (MLS), LiDAR Feature Extraction, DTM/DSM generation and classification, ground classification, hydro workflows, and GIS automation.

Candidates should be capable of working with both domestic and international project specifications and guidelines, while maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.

We are particularly interested in professionals who can identify opportunities for workflow automation, reduced manual effort, improved production efficiency, and consistent data quality.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform MLS LiDAR Feature Extraction according to client specifications and project guidelines.
- Process and classify Mobile LiDAR and Airborne LiDAR point-cloud datasets.
- Perform Ground Classification and terrain-related LiDAR processing.
- Work on DTM and DSM generation, editing, classification, and quality control.
- Handle stream/downstream hydro and hydro-ground classification workflows.
- Perform detailed QA/QC of LiDAR and GIS deliverables.
- Understand and implement domestic and international project guidelines and specifications.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows and reduce repetitive/manual production activities through automation.
- Develop and maintain GIS automation workflows.
- Coordinate with project leads and production teams to understand technical requirements.




- Troubleshoot technical and data-related issues during production.
- Support project planning, productivity, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Prepare and maintain proper technical workflow documentation.
- Mentor junior engineers and support the team in following production and quality standards.

Required LiDAR Software SkillsCandidates with hands-on production experience in the following tools will be preferred: TerraSolid / Bentley Environment
- TerraScan
- TerraModeler
- TerraPhoto
- TerraMatch
- Bentley MicroStation
- Airborne LiDAR processing
- MLS / Mobile LiDAR processing and feature extraction

Additional Geospatial Tools
- Global Mapper
- Point-cloud visualization and processing tools
- Other relevant LiDAR/GIS production and QA/QC tools

Strong hands-on TerraSolid and Bentley MicroStation experience is highly preferred for the LiDAR position.Required GIS & Automation SkillsFor GIS-focused candidates, we are particularly looking for engineers with experience in:

- ArcGIS / ArcGIS Pro
- ArcGIS ModelBuilder
- Creating ModelBuilder workflows for repetitive process automation
- QGIS
- Working with and supporting QGIS plugins
- Ability to understand, execute, and troubleshoot Python-based GIS scripts
- Basic knowledge of scripting for geospatial workflow automation
- Spatial data processing and analysis
- Geospatial QA/QC
- Data conversion and transformation
- Managing large geospatial datasets

Candidates who can combine strong GIS production knowledge with automation-oriented thinking will be highly preferred. Technical Skills & QualificationsThe ideal candidate should have:





- Strong hands-on experience in GIS and/or LiDAR production environments.
- Practical experience in MLS Feature Extraction.
- Good understanding of LiDAR point-cloud classification.
- Solid knowledge of DTM and DSM workflows.
- Experience with ground and hydro-related classification/processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret complex geospatial datasets and troubleshoot production issues.
- Experience in QA/QC and technical validation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to understand project specifications and convert requirements into production workflows.
- Good communication and team coordination skills.
- Ability to guide and mentor junior team members.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting production and client delivery timelines.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geomatics, Geoinformatics, Geography, GIS, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Several years of relevant hands-on experience in LiDAR, MLS, GIS, Remote Sensing, or geospatial production is preferred.
- Previous experience working on international geospatial projects will be an added advantage.
