Selected Intern's Day-to-day Responsibilities Include
- Research specialty herbs, vegetables, and crops that are difficult to source in India.
- Study restaurant menus and speak with chefs to understand crop demand and availability.
- Research crop-growing requirements from research papers, seed companies, and international growers.
- Prepare simple crop-wise growing plans covering temperature, light, water, nutrients, and harvest time.
- Identify and compare seed suppliers in India and abroad.
- Contact suppliers, request quotations, compare prices, Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ's), and delivery timelines.
- Follow up with suppliers and assist with seed import documentation when required.
- Maintain organized records of crops, suppliers, research findings, and orders.
- Support small-scale crop trials at the farm.
- Monitor plant growth and record daily observations.
- Take photographs and maintain trial records.
- Track issues such as germination, growth, pests, plant health, and harvest performance.
- Share weekly progress updates and key findings with Farm Head.
- Assist with other research and farm activities related to specialty crop development.
