Location: Remote (India) · Type: Full time / Contract · Compensation: INR 500k to 1200k + incentives The opportunityWallMag is a creator community platform that gives creators recognition and monetisation opportunities. Photographers, artists, musicians, dancers, and other creators across India compete in our awards, get featured in our print magazine, earn certificates and titles that build their careers.
You'd be our first partnerships hire, building this revenue line from zero and owning it.
You'd have two products to sell:
1. Brands backing creators — title and category sponsorships of our awards, prize pools, branded certificates, and placements across the magazine, website, and channels.
2. WallMag recognising brands — Brand Awards like Creator Brand of the Year, brand features in the magazine and on the website, and paid brand articles and storytelling.
What this means for you: no inherited pipeline and no playbook to follow, but also no ceiling — you decide which brands to chase, you shape the offerings and the rate card, and every deal that closes is visibly yours. If you've been a mid-level seller inside a big media or events company, this is the role where you prove you can build the desk, not just work it.
What you'll do
- Build and work a pipeline of potential partners — camera/gear and creative-tools brands, print and framing companies, consumer brands targeting young creators, and any brand that wants credibility with the creator community.
- Package WallMag's assets into sellable products: award sponsorships, prize pools, Brand Awards and brand recognition titles,
magazine and website brand features, paid articles, and social/email reach — with a clear deck and rate card.
- Pitch, negotiate, and close deals end-to-end, from first cold outreach to signed agreement.
- Deliver what was sold: coordinate with marketing and award operations so sponsor placements, prizes, brand features, and articles actually ship on time, and send partners a results report afterwards.
- Renew and grow accounts: turn one-off deals into season-long and annual partnerships.
Must-haves
- 2+ years in brand partnerships, sponsorship sales, ad/media sales, or B2B business development — with deals you personally closed.
- Comfortable doing outbound: finding the right person at a brand, getting the meeting, and following up relentlessly.
- Strong written and spoken English; Hindi is a plus for many Indian brand teams.
- Can own a revenue target independently in a small, remote-first team.
Nice-to-haves
- Existing relationships with imaging, print, creative-tools, or creator-economy brands.
- Experience selling media properties — sponsored content, branded features, native articles — or event/community sponsorships.
- Familiarity with India's creator community.
How we workYou'd work directly with the founder, alongside marketing and award operations. Small team, fast decisions, no layers — you'll have real ownership, and your results will be visible in revenue, not activity reports. WallMag is an equal-opportunity team. If this role excites you but you don't tick every box, apply anyway.
