Role Description

We are looking for a Sr. Accountant with at least 3 years of accounting experience for a full time, on-site role in Surat. The role requires strong ownership of day-to-day transactions, tax compliance, GST reporting, reconciliations, and audit support, along with advanced Excel skills and the ability to adapt to new technologies.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage daily accounting entries for sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, payments, and journal transactions.
- Maintain accurate ledgers, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare GST reports, reconcile GST records, and support timely return filing.
- Manage TDS calculations, deductions, reconciliations, and compliance documentation.
- Support monthly and year-end closing, financial reporting, and cash-flow monitoring.
- Prepare audit schedules, maintain supporting documents,



and coordinate with auditors and tax consultants.
- Use advanced Excel to reconcile data, analyse transactions, and prepare financial reports.
- Adopt new accounting tools and technologies to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Support inventory accounting, stock reconciliation, and coordination with operations teams.

Qualifications

- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong practical knowledge of accounting, GST, TDS, and applicable tax compliance.
- Advanced Excel proficiency, including PivotTables, lookup functions, SUMIFS, and reconciliation of large datasets.
- Experience with accounting software; Zoho Books and/or BUSY is preferred.
- Experience supporting audits and maintaining accurate, organised financial records.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Strong attention to detail, integrity, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Inventory management and inventory accounting experience will be an added advantage.
