Job SummaryWe are looking for a detail-oriented Software Tester / QA Engineer with around 2 years of experience in software testing. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, performance, and reliability of our applications through effective testing and defect identification.

Key Responsibilities

- Understand business and technical requirements and prepare test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory testing.
- Identify, document, track, and validate defects using tools such as Jira or similar defect-tracking systems.
- Execute test cases and maintain clear documentation of test results.
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman.
- Conduct basic UI and cross-browser testing across different devices and environments.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Re-test resolved defects and perform regression testing before releases.
- Participate in sprint planning, requirement discussions, and release activities in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Contribute to improving testing processes, test coverage, and overall product quality.
- Assist in developing and maintaining automation test scripts where required.

Required Skills




- Around 2 years of experience in software testing / QA.
- Robust understanding of STLC, SDLC, and software testing methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with manual testing.
- Good knowledge of test case design, test execution, defect life cycle, and bug reporting.
- Experience with Jira or similar test/defect management tools.
- Basic to intermediate experience with API testing using Postman.
- Good understanding of SQL/database testing.
- Familiarity with web application testing and browser compatibility testing.
- Basic understanding of automation testing tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar will be an advantage.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify edge cases.

Good to Have
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Knowledge of Git/GitHub.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines.
- Basic understanding of performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6.
- Experience testing REST APIs and event-driven/backend services.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a cross-functional team.
