Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Discovery & Service Mapping Developer to build and maintain Discovery patterns, Service Mapping, Event Management rules, and MID Server integrations. The candidate should have strong scripting knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot CMDB and infrastructure discovery issues.

Must-Have Skills

- 6–10 years of experience in ServiceNow development
- Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow Discovery
- Experience developing and maintaining Discovery Patterns, Probes, and Sensors
- Strong experience with Service Mapping and Service Mapping scripts
- Experience with Event Management and event correlation rules
- Strong knowledge of MID Server configuration and integrations
- Experience with credential-based discovery
- Understanding of network and infrastructure discovery protocols
- Strong JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting skills
- Experience troubleshooting CMDB data quality issues
- Ability to work with infrastructure and network teams
- Experience in Problem Management and Engineering Management
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments
- Good technical documentation and communication skills

Good-to-Have Skills
- CIS – Discovery certification
- CIS – Event Management certification
- Hands-on experience resolving complex CMDB data quality issues
- AIOps experience
- Advanced event correlation experience beyond native ServiceNow capabilities
- Experience with ITOM Visibility
- Knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB and CSDM
- Experience with Discovery of cloud environments such as AWS/Azure
- Experience with large enterprise ServiceNow implementations
- ServiceNow CSA/CAD certification

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Discovery Patterns, Probes, and Sensors.




- Build and maintain Service Mapping scripts.
- Configure Event Management correlation and alert rules.
- Configure and troubleshoot MID Server integrations.
- Work with infrastructure/network teams to validate discovery results.
- Identify and resolve CMDB data quality issues at the scripting level.
- Support Problem Management and root-cause analysis.
- Document Discovery patterns, scripts, and configurations for long-term GCC ownership.
- Support defect resolution and continuous improvement of the ServiceNow platform.
